It can't possibly be that no one posted this news on the forum yet, can it? I can't find a thread. Here's the story. Proves her brain was incapable of rehabilitation.

Yeah, doogie, I think this will go on forever. They want to believe their daughter was treatable and they're not going to believe any evidence to the contrary, no matter what.

Sometimes I think her parents have half a brain between them.

They need to let her go and move on with their lives.

Last I heard she was still dead......................

Maybe, just maybe they will let her rest in peace. Modern medician is great... to often we use it to let those who should quietly pass into the night linger...Death is a natural part of life...not everyone will heal or recover from accidents or illness..nor should we.

Another example where a 'faith' derived opinions lead people into errant nonsense...

What a callous, despicable comment to make about people who have just experienced a horribly traumatic event in their lives.

While it may in fact be true that Ms. Schiavo had no chance, it should have been up to her parents to make that decision, not her estranged, adulterer husband, who had already produced bastard offspring with someone else.

I think most of the people who were so vehemently opposed to Terri being allowed to die have disappeared now that it has been proven beyond all shadow of a doubt that there was severe irreversible brain damage with no hope of any sort of meaningful recovery. For the parents though, things are different. They invested a lot of time, money and emotion in the belief that their daughter could recover. If Terri was capable of any feeling at all, then they probably prolonged her suffering by fighting her husband's attempts to let her die with dignity. For them to admit that their daughter was effectively dead long before the feeding tube was removed would mean that they had wasted years of their life on a futile and even harmful exercise. It is no surprise that they are unwilling to face this reality.
