Welcome Amionne. Not trying to discourage you here, but what is the rush to get baptized? Its a life long decision that can (and will) affect you for the rest of your life. Just something to think about.

Welcome Sweetie! I am sorry you are going through a hard time, hang in there hon. I sure remember the times I was a young jw, and thought I had no friends, this is really hard. About baptism, there are future consequences to this decision, that you just can't imagine right now. Why dont you wait a few more years, there's no rush. Is there a teacher, or an adult that you can talk to about this decision? Also, you are very young, so please remember not to give out too much information, especially your name, stuff like that, out about yourself on this public boards ok. Welcome.

For a 13 year old you are very articulate and in touch with your feelings. I recommend that you ask your teachers to recommend a book on critical thinking. It may help you as you learn in school and life.
Thanks. It's nice to hear something like that. Most teens my age are the complete opposite of that.

Oh, no. I don't think I'm rushing. I entered the theocratic school of ministry when I was 8 and became a preacher when I was 10. I studied and gained knowledge during those three years. I enjoy being 'in the truth' and doing what Jehovah asks. I know it's a decision that will affect my life. Trust me. I've seen a Bible student who has been studying the Bible for about two years enter the theocratic school, became a preacher, and was baptized. ^^

Thank you so much for your support. I've seen through other young experiences how there's been persecution and oppression but I've thought through it a lot and I feel this is the right time. But I guess I can talk to my uncle tomorrow about it. And about the information, I was thinking on changing my Alias. Thanks again. Well, I guess I should be going to bed now. G'night to all!

Hi there and welcome! I am not, and never was, a JW. However, I came here to learn about what their teachings are from people who used to be. See, I like to investigate and look into things more than just accepting face value. I hope your uncle doesn't discourage you from visiting people here, you will learn a lot and gain a more rounded viewpoint than just one side. These people have been so helpful to me.
Growing up is hard, especially the young teen years. Are your parents and/or siblings JW also? My daughter dated a young JW, which is one reason I came here.
Well, take care and I will hope to see you back here tomorrow!

If you're doing what makes you happy, then stick with it. That's my philosophy on life.
Just out of curiosity, are you allowed to have friends outside of the religion, like from school? You sound like you're struggling with your identity and having trouble finding a place to fit in, but you've only mentioned members of your congregation. If you're limiting yourself as far as association goes, I think that can be harmful.
