    i've had three piercings started with the belly button, then my tongue and ended up with a nipple ring in my left nipple belly button and tongue didn't hurt much but nipple..ooh yeah, that was a big OUCH!!! i did end up removing all of the piercings eventually. but i am thinking about re-piercing my tongue again....

    as far as pain between tattoos and piercings, i only had one of my tattoos really hurt and that was my arm band.

    as far as pain between tattoos and piercings, i only had one of my tattoos really hurt and that was my arm band.
    your half armband, for that reason, not?

    I only have one, at my right arm. Did not hurt at all to take it. Just a tickle.

    Hey Harmy! I let mine close up too,thinkin of re-piercing my navel tho. Rocky had his tongue pierced but he let that close up too.Ahh the tats lol.....I may get another one at the tat parlor while Im getting re-pierced...........thinking of celtic knots....luv yas,TattooTina

    Hi everyone,

    I had my left ear double-pierced in '94, and grew my hair nearly down to my ass. Tame by this group's standards but hey, what fun it was to visit my family when some witnesses would drop in! LOL!!!

    Slayer, I can't believe she puked! Is she needle shy?

    The initial pierce hurt and it was sore last night but today it doesn't hurt at all. There was a young woman waiting to have her tongue pierced after me. Pesonally I find that a bit odd. I was talking to a gal with a pierced tongue once and she had the worst lisp because of it.

    Next the tattoo. I'll have to talk the prince into that one though. Very small, on my ankle or bum. Tina, I like the Celtic knot idea! Maybe even my scottish dad wouldn't be too offended!

    I personally LOVE a nice nipple piercing. Both though, just one looks dumb and I don't understand if it has a meaning or anything.

    jan, you busted me, hehe. yes, the arm band is only half an armband, the pain was pretty intense. and even though i like a bit of pain (hehe tina, you don't sound wierd! i'm right there with ya on that whole "rush" thing), it was just too much.

    same thing happened with the nipple piercing...chickened out on getting the right one done. if anything brushed against my nipple for weeks after the piercing, let me tell you.....intense, shooting pain! hey wait, maybe it wasn't soo bad hah! kidding..never again...nope.

    oh and jan, as far the tongue piercing....maybe i will surprise you in the near future

    Dearest 6of9... you make a good point... and may you have peace!

    However, may I ask you... is not the eating of swine and shellfish under the same 'law' as not having one's body pierced? And yet, do not those who might be 'stumbled' eat such things?

    Dear one, it is no longer the OUTSIDE of the 'dish' that my Father and my Lord are concerned with, and in truth, it never really was. For it is the INSIDE of the cup that must be cleansed. If then, we run around looking at the outward appearance of others, and attempt to determine their spirituality and righteousness on what we see with our eyes, are we not running the same risk as did the Pharisees, of whom my Lord stated looked themselves "like whitewashed graves", but INSIDE were "full of deadmen's bones"?

    My point, dear 6, is that "all things are clean to him that IS clean", and all things are unclean... to him that is unclean.

    If someone has a body piercing, a tatoo, or some other 'marking' on their flesh, such will not prevent them from entering into the kingdom of my Lord. It is, instead, the 'markings' on the 'heart', 'forehead'... or 'hand'... and whose 'mark' it IS... that determine such entry.

    For it is NOT the physical 'markings' of a man... but the SPIRITUAL 'markings'... that matter.

    I bid you peace... and commend you for your love in noting the possible stumbling block. For indeed, as you said, while all things ARE lawful... not all things are advantageous.
