Something I have noticed about "new light" is that it is ALWAYS released to correct an error that has become painfully obvious.

As an example, the 1914 Generation change in 1995 happened because it became painfully obvious that those who saw the events of 1914 were dieing off.

Another example is who the Faithful and Discrete Slave is. It was originally taught that Russell was the FDS. When he died it was painfully obvious that we was not the FDS, so Rutherford redefined it as being ALL JWs (Then known as Bible Students). When they started teaching that there was a "Great Crowd" and a "Little Flock" of "Anointed" people, it became painfully obvious that the FDS was not all JWs. This is when they changed the FDS to only the "Anointed Little Flock". After that they started bouncing back and forth between the FDS being the Governing Body and the "Anointed Little Flock" and they are still bouncing back and forth to this day

It all gets confusing doesn't it? I used to work somewhere where we had a dragon lady for a supervisor. She was constantly changing rules and procedures, peoples work stations, work responsibilities. We never knew whether we were coming or going.

    Hey!

    I'm a nice lady .............sometimes

I remember back in the 70's when my mother finally got my grandmother to attend a Sunday meeting. Of course my teenage opinion at the time was that anyone that disagreed with the society was obviously wrong.

You see, my grandmother told my mother that she didn't like "all the man-made rules." - her exact words.

I think that stuff is obvious to outsiders. How the hell did my mother ever fall for all that crap?

The truth doesn't change. Any Witness with a brain should know that they are not supposed to believe in half truths

Their main charge against opposers is it's apostate 'half truths'.

Does this mean that only one-half of Jesus returned to power in 1914?

Is that like being a little preganant?

    Perplexing indeed....

[Romans 2 14] "Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law," The above text is a Biblical description of the,"godless barbarians". What is this 'law unto themselves'? It's what anthropologist( scientist who study human culture) call the (4) four universal taboos. They are: (1) The 'doctrine of self preservation',simply put wanting to stay alive. (2) Need for food and shelter (3) Sex drive (procreation) (4) Incest taboo( you don't procreate with your blood kin, messes up the gene pool). All humans have these pre-programed instincts. No matter who/what/where you may be, you instinctively "know better" not to do naughty stuff.. All lucid beings then, have a built in 'conscience' to know good from bad.The pagan Barbarian's "code of conduct" is to be honorable humanitarians.EXCEPTION: the psychopaths : psychopaths {Egotist) [1] The Greatest Commandment : [ Matthew 22:34-40 34]Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' [2] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[3] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these """ two""" commandments." Caveman 2 The prehistoric 'caveman' had only FOUR rules in his life.Along comes Jesus Christ who say's there only only TWO rules in life. The Watchtower Borganization on the other hand has rules up the ass.... Rules for Christian Living (Faith vs. Works)

Jehovah's Witnesses are not a "Christian" religion. They are an offshoot of Judaism.

Uhh, Christianity IS an offshoot of judaism. Duh. What else would it be?

These are delusional old guys (the GB) who have made the mistake of believing their own PR.

They think the chatter in their minds is something unique to them, and that it is the sound of angelic whispering.

    (at the dinner table)

"The angels say pass me the mashed potatoes!"

"Jehovah wants me to have another slice of meatloaf and extra gravy this time."

(slowly the uplifting conversation at the table ceases as the aroma of a freshly expelled SBD* fart makes it's way to all noses.)

"Our Lord Jesus wants me to let you know that I'll be right back. Excuse me."
