If you hear a loud clanging sound while driving, the best way to deal with it is......

    Turn the radio up!!!

Richie...think...motorcycle. There are a few advantages. Good on gas, don't have to worry about taking your vehicle in service, or even go in service for that matter...................

    Jula... think... rain.... and....girlfriend(s)....

My dad owns several, and I ride them on occasion. Wouldn't want to have to do it everywhere though.

No kidding, and I've got one whenever I want access to it, I just like an enclosed vehicle better.

Here's one of them (Notice my father walking towards the camera...)

Cool bike...but...it's for shows and bar hopping only. Notice the hardtail frame..no suspension...that thing's a back breaker. Also no bitch pad. Nowhere for the babe to sit. They do make suction cup pads to stick on those wide 280 and 300 fenders but it's not comfortable for more than a few miles.

What you need first is a stock or close to stock bike, whether cruiser, sport, touring, etc. Those bikes are made to ride everyday, all day. Get a daily rider first, then get a bar hopper later...if you can afford it. A bike like that in the picture can be anywhere from 25k to 50k.

Closer to 25. Dad did almost all of the work himself.

I usually ride his 98 Fat Boy.

It's a nice bike, and it's comfortable (I've gone to the beach and mountains on it).

HD Fat Boy...that's a good bike. A guy your size would fit a Road King really well. But if you're negotiating city traffic every day a Softail or Glide would be easier to manage.
