The spear point on the left side, near the middle actually has blood stains on it still...
I always thought that was cool....
hey! I live in San Angelo! Yay! You know, Matt is like tha master arrowhead hunter! He even used to make them from random pieces if broken glass cause he is cool like that. He is also real good at finding and exploring indian caves....mmmm I smell a road trip!
Those are wicked awesome Rich! If you are Matt's brotha frum anotha motha, will you be my brotha too?
Please?!?
hey i'm full blooded dine'...and we are taught not to mess around with artifacts, it's part of our culture to respect what was in the past and leave it alone.
oops Matty and Rich. You got told!!!!
Bwahahaha!
it's part of our culture to respect what was in the past and leave it alone.
Well please forgive me if my possession of those artifacts has offended you.
I would think that people looking for arrowheads would be a sort of homage to the Native American culture.
I have always had a fascination with Indians because of their skills as hunters. They amaze me.

Sure Colorado! No problem. So you live in San Angelo? Ever hear of T.O. and Oteka McLean?
Ok, Know this guy?
When I was a little boy I would find arrow heads pretty often where I lived in the country. I put them in a shoe box and my mother threw them out in the back yard one day. I wish I had them now.

i think your possessions of arrowheads are part of your personality, it gives me a direction of who you are.
for me what i find disturbing is when ppl go out of their way to searching and destroy from a holy site. this is a taboo for most native american cultures.
i was taught to you keep yourself and your young children away from artifacts and ruins and holy sites. you can tell them its there but not to disturb it out of respect.
well you can always learn to make arrowheards and sell them to the tourist....it's a good thing!
desbah,
We arent talking about molesting sacred spots. Finding these tools laying on the ground is really no different than finding an old shovel head or musket ball in your back yard. Even what we call "indian mounds" in this part of the country are nothing more than native american trash piles. Not cerimonial or burial sites.
The land, the trees, water, and animals had a certain sacredness. If you live in the US, your house is probably built on land that was sacred to them. The real shame is in the imperialism that nearly caused the demise of a race of humans. Sure, these artifacts are exciting to find, but speaking for myself, and probalby Rich too, as descendants those artifacts are as much a part of us as they were of the makers. Their preservation preserves the culture that WE killed.
It it were a major archiological find, then let the experts handle that.
Finding these treasures before a shoping mall is built over them or before someone drives over them is important to me. It gives me an opportunitiy to be closer to my hertitage.
Great collection Rich!
colorado5591... mmm road trip! lol
