dealing with dubs and the mindset is very challenging, mostly because you have to get yourself under control. The more personal investment you have, say with friends or family, I think the harder it is to remain CALM and collected.

I like the Taoist concepts of water as a metaphor for how one needs to be. Gentle, flowing, seeking the low spots...water goes where all other things direct it. Yet water wears down the greatest stones and mountains, because it is persistent, timeless. The methods that Steven Hassan writes about in his books about cults are a very good example of this.

But...we are human, and we do get excited. Forgive yourself.

In these parts we try not to get in a pissing contest with a skunk.

KLS---The "smirk"!!! Ohhh how I hate that! I know exactly what you are talking about. Daughter calls it 'the evil smirk'!! or ' the sick smile'. It pisses me off just thinking about it! So they not only have taken over his brain but also his facial expressions as well as other things. disgusted, carla

GBL - tell me about it - I've just started dealing with it.....with my family - they believe the elders lies over me, their own flesh & blood - I was ready to sue the damn elders for defamation of charactor, and blow up the kingdom hall on friday.

THEY WILL NEVER GET IT - UNLESS THEY WANT TO.
