And the truth shall set you free!
As an ex witness you tend to be more cautious about getting involved in any organised religons so I am sure she has found a church that fits her spiritual needs.
I prayed to Jesus (that's right, a big no-no in dubland) for 2 weeks and begged Him to lead me to a bible believing, evangelizing mission-oriented place of worship.
Church is a good experience. I went for almost 2 yrs.

Thanx all, for all the positive thoughts. I am about to fall asleep at the switch so to speak - so it is off to bed for me for now.
Netty - are you always just 1 day old? You have well developed speech patterns for one so young....LOL

LOL! Tomorrow is actually my b-day, I think this board is adding impaired. (although I do admit I did not enter in the year)
I've been to a church a few times. The first time I didn't know what to expect when I set my feet through those doors! I was ready for the lightening to strike! LOL
I'm not sure if I could ever join a church, but I do enjoy going once in a while. It is totally different than going to aKH and I am able to actually worship. I especially love the music, live singers, band etc.

We have been going to an Evangelical Free Church for a few months. Evangelical Free meaning that it is entirely locally governed - no big kahuna to answer up to. We are really enjoying it. They have individual programs for the kids, and my kids really enjoy them. Never ever is anything but the bible used in the sermons, and the music is great.
I never thought I could ever go to a church ever either - I thought I had no faith. But also please note that I have been "out" nearly 10 years now, and aside from maybe 3 times in a non-denominational church, this is the first time that I have felt ready to attempt anything else.
A few weeks ago, the pastor was talking and he outright said that it is our individual responsibility to do our own studies in the scriptures and decide if what he is saying is true and correct. If we don't agree, then discard what he said, if we agree fine. In my opinion, that is a true humble spirit that is not concerned in the least about his own ego.
