Sometimes when I start a thread I'll open it over and over again tons of times periodically throughout the day. That way it appears that tons of people are reading it and just not posting, when in fact it's just me screwing with the numbers. :P
Okay not really, but I'm going to try this out with the next thread I start. ;) -

Usually, it's a 10:1 ratio between the number views and posts made.
Many people who didn't sign up on JWD can read the threads and don't want to post, so the views go up.
Sometimes, everything is well stated and there is nothing else to add...
