20 min: "Witnessing Effectively in Public Places."* Make application to the local territory. Remind publishers to use the Please Follow Up (S-43) form when appropriate. -See the February 2005 Our Kingdom Ministry, p. 6.

What the he** is an S-43 Form? Never heard of that, and I did a lot of this nasty form of 'Public Witnessing' as a pioneer.

I never one time, ever heard of anyone 'following up' on 'interested ones' from this 'ministry'. But it keeps the presses rolling I guess, since you could give away quite a bit of literature in a short time.

In public places there is no guarantee that if you talk to a person that wants to be called on again, lives in your area. S-43 form is for their name, address, phone number and a brief description of what you discussed. You give it to the secretary and he is supposed to see that it gets to the secretary of the congregation that holds that territory that person lives in. It is the same for that is used if you meet a foreign speaker (e.g. Spanish) or someone who is deaf (ASL).

S-43. That is always the oddest part of any demonstration that shows street work, business territory or working the public parks. Actually asking someone for their name, address, phone number and expecting to get it. This is very rare. The form is mostly used for foreign language speaking (as blondie said) individuals. I'll post the Feb. article that is referenced when I get a chance.

Funny, shortly before I left, in one last bit of zeal I seriously considered doing a bunch of street work. I figured that I could stand on the street with a WT in my hand for half an hour before work and half an hour after work and get in twenty hours a month. It looked a lot better than going to people's doors. If I'd done it I might have finally made elder.

But then I just quit the whole thing.

See if you can find a young person who has had success keeping his pants on for a week while worldly girls are throwing themselves at him and the Basketball coach is pressuring him to join the team because he’s 6ft. 8in tall. Oh yes, have hims relate how he reads the text even when unconscious.

I was assigned buisness territory about six months before I DA'ed, and I had to go with an elder and a few "crazy eyed" pioneer types. I was the odd man out and said that I'd work by myself after he told us all what stores to hit in the mall. I walked directly to the Starbucks, ordered a coffee and read the paper for forty five minutes.

The official report was that I never found any "right hearted ones" that day.

How many weeks have they been discussing this family schedule stuff? Are there people who actually are able to do this? It was all I could do to have a family study with my kids once a week and try to make a couple of meetings.

    Wasanelder, Hehehehehe...very nice.

Blondie and GBL...very clever. I was either too dumb or too unlucky (got partnered with somebody all gung ho) to skip out. Only did street/busniesses a couple of times...much worse than regular d2d in my mind.

The witneses around here, spanish and english, sit or stand around talking to each other on the avenue or park. They never approach anyone. My wife and I watch them many a day and its the same old bunch doing the same old thing, counting time on the stroll.

I have to say that those I am coming to consider my "Virtual Family" on this board are not likely to want to go into chat for study and meeting preparation.

As for asking a stranger for their name address and telephone in this age of identity theft.

Are those old reptiles living in the real world??

I am so sick of cold callers from India i am building a missile. If a stranger asked me for personal info, I would tell him to go ************* himself...
