    Dear "pop" larc,

:I got the impression that Duns was still at the undergraduate level. If he gets into a graduate program, he better watch his deportment. If he irritates any of his profs, he will likely get washed out. Graduate schools are very political places.:

I am already in graduate school and I am faring well so far. Duns can be quite the politician when he wants to be. My professors have shown nothing but love for Duns. They even put up with my anti-societal ideas.

    Duns:

    You're an intellectual?

Hell! I thought I'd crushed the last of your species beneath the wheels of my BMW cabriolet sometime in 1987. Like Tuberculosis, you pointless organisms keep coming back.

See what happens, my country men and women, when you elect a Labout government?

    Dear Dave,

I kept my end of the bargain. :-)

    :Duns,
I know I said I wouldn't post in response to anything you write, but damn it, I am just getting to like you too much.
In regard to your way of writing and giving the explanation of every word you write, you once again rate a hearty golf clap.:

I like you too, Dave. I was actually heartbroken when you gave me the silent treatment. <cachinans>

:I have a serious question for you an I'm going to use a simple and common way to ask it, so please forgive me.
The question is, has anyone ever taken you out behind the barn and kicked the living shit out of you?:

My dad did, when I was a wee tyke. The childhood trauma that the kick caused, however, has been a primary source of motivation in my sesquipedalian endeavors.

    Puppy Duns,

If you publish anything, it is too bad that we won't be able to read it, since that would blow your cover.

I once played cricket on hallowed turf. The umpire kept making unfair and if I may say, stupid calls.

I asked him.." what would you do if I called you a Firkin' stupid prick?"
He replied, " I would send you off immediately!"
I asked.." What would you do if I only thought it?"
he responded.."well I couldnt do anything.."
I said.." lets leave it at that then shall we.."

    Duns,

I'm sorry for not keeping my part of the bargain,
Sorry to hear about your dad and butt kicking. I figured something like that had to have happened for you to be the way you are. No person turns out that way cuz they want to. I'm proud of ya man.

Thanks for the reply pal, I'll let you go back to playing.

    Your Buddy

    Dave

    Dr. larc,

    :Puppy Duns,
If you publish anything, it is too bad that we won't be able to read it, since that would blow your cover.:

You probably would not be interested in the subject anyway. Unfortunately, I cannot let you know that either. Sometimes there are noble reasons for retaining one's cover. The risks of "outing" myself outweigh the benefits.

But you can read Greg Stafford's new book coming out in October. I hear its par excellence! :-)

Dunsscot, just out of curiosity, what do you do for a living? And if you're not already doing what you want to do for a living, what are your future plans? Since you're in grad school, what are you majoring in? (If you've said it before, I probably missed it, sorry.) And besides posting here, what do you do for fun?

Rochelle, I really do not want to answer some of your questions for the sake of my concealed identity. There are some people on the inet who mercilessly try to track down those engaging in "reconnaissance missions" by matching up any little thing you say on a forum with your real world identity. But I will tell you this: I plan to enter the educational system in the future. Duns wants to teach. I cannot tell you my major, but my hobbies are reading, studying, listening to music, playing basketball, and going to theme parks.

    Take care!
