  Is this issue of the Watchtower being part of the UN Department of Public Information of any significance?

  At the District conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses there are flags of the United States and other sovereign government such as states or other countries hanging from the buildings. The Governing Body and the Watchtower Society rent buildings which become the equivalent of Kingdom Halls for the weekend. Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t find a problem with those flags hanging there. Why is that? To us, they are simply pieces of cloth. Nothing more. We don't honor or look to them beyond that.

  Why would it be any different for this UN DPI thing? The Department of Public Information is simply that - A place to get information. Nothing more. It has nothing to do with support anymore than the flags hanging at the conventions mean that everyone is pledging allegiance to those flags. Because there are forms that needed to fill out does not change those prior statements.

  The next principle to consider is: How does the actions of an individual working at the Watchtower Society affect the organization? It doesn’t. The organization is lead by Jesus Christ through the Governing Body. I don’t recall the governing body having a vote on the matter and then publishing the matter to the organization. So…

  As I said, It is a non-issue.

  No, you're mistaken. It's a department that provides information. By becoming a part of it, the Watchtower Society agreed to spread the ideals of the UN, which it then did.

  To me the issue is about double standard. It is also about the WT suddenly publishing articles that praise the work of the UN in its publication in accordance to the terms of being a NGO. This is hardly the work of one individual. We should question how imperfect humans could corrupt gods mouthpiece and if this shows it is not the vehicle it claims to be. There is also the scarlet beast question, it would have been better for them to of used the Vatican library that the UN.

  I challenge you to read your "masters" (JC) teachings SOLO and come up with anything ever remotely related to the WTS beuracracy.

  According to the wt's writings of days gone by, it is much more. How conveniently you have forgotten the volumes that the wt has written about the league of nations/united nations being a creation of satan to be an imposter in opposition and in place of god's real kingdom. The wt has railed on about how the un/league are an idol which the world wonders at admiringly, being marked in the forehead and arm as a symbol of support to it. The dpi is an extension of that org, the tip of the beast's tentacle. The wt has condemned the world's churches for having anything to do w it. It has bragged about it's own cleanness in not 'touching' the unclean thing, about which the frogs, unclean inspired expressions from satan were croaking. Now, that the wt has also had relations w the peace beast, you claim that it was nothing, like an unfaithful wife might claim that merely having sex w someone else meant nothing, since she didn't love the stranger anyway, and that he wore a condom while doing it. Peace, brother.

  I yearn for the days of a decent JW apologist, rather than a rank amateur who buries the argument in logical fallacies and displays an embarrassing lack of critical thought. It seems they do not make them like they used to!

  As I said, It is a non-issue.

  So Jesus is responsible for all changes in doctrine attributed to "new light"? All the people that died before the policies on blood changed and those who continue to suffer injustice from the org and their families because of policies that will no doubt be changed in the future should know that Jesus just hasn't gotten around to them yet? You would think if an organization is truly directed by Jesus they would get it right the first time.
