funny question to ask, perhaps you are picking up from where you left off from another thread and I've missed out?!?

Soon = vague time in the near future that can be manipulated to mean 'imminent' and undeterminable at the same time. The WT has been using this word since the dawn of their time. From past applications of when the WT has used soon, we can determine that this can mean anytime within the next 100years.

That's a good question. We have all heard that for at least 30 years. They'll just come out with a "new light" in a couple years- AGAIN.

Well, all I can say is, that Armageddon is just around the corner and has been proclaimed so by Jehovah's Witnesses from their inception in the 1870s. So, how soon do you want it?

Well, when my son askes when I'm going to get off the computer and take him to the swimming pool, I tell him, "In a minute." Having timed the minute I find it averages about three hours.

So, if soon is approximatly under an hour, and a there are sixty minutes in an hour, then the formula would be:

    90 x 59 = 5310

Since we are talking symbolism here the formula continues:

Numbers are refered to in the bible as days or ages. Now if you take a thousand years for a "day" then "soon" is 5310 years from whenever someone biblical says "soon."

If the number is an age then all bets are off and I don't have a clue.

Ah, just when I had the 555+5555 theory down.

One witness told me "a 1000 years with god is as 1 day, so the end could be anytime" ...no wonder they're having problems, even the faithful WT dubs dont know. One things for sure, soon won't be soon enough for the gt. crowd of today that never expected to die.

The old bastards in brooklyn use words that can apply at any time......hence is always appealing to any generation of dubs. It's the same word as "soon" used in the NIV at Revelation 22:20 that Jesus used when he told us he's coming soon. 2000 years later he still ain't here but he's due anytime.......so I'd say armageddon has gotta be at least nearly 2000 years away.

"Soon" means whatever they feel like defining it as just like the term "generation".........of course, it took the idiots in Brooklyn 125 years to get new and improved light on this....................................isn't it wonderful how Jehovah is blessing their understanding of the scriptures?
