Me, too, up till a few months ago. I forget who died, but I told my parents I was upset to read it in the newspaper. Now they let me know if anyone from the KH/family has passed, or is really sick.
I'm sorry that you, Jeannie, all the others, are being treated so cruelly. I don't know how I would handle it ... well, I'll find out after mom & dad are gone.

Yeah, I don't know how they can do what they do to us and still think they are following these scriptures:
John 15:12 - This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.
1 Timothy 5:8 - If any one does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his own family, he has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Romans 5:8 - but God commends *his* love to us, in that, we being still sinners, Christ has died for us.
Romans 8:39 - nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which [is] in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 12:9 - Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good:
Romans 13:10 - Love works no ill to its neighbour; love therefore [is the] whole law.

It's funny how they skate around all of the scriptures about love and forgivness, yet won't budge an inch for anyone's elses mistakes. They pick and choose what fits right at the time for their agenda. But apparently, it's more important to control who everyone has sex with than to have love. But wait.....isn't god love?
I feel bad for all you but I'm glad you post. People who are getting involved with the Watchtower only get the love bombing at the KH as they are getting sucked in.. They need to know the dark side of this religion. Post like yours could help someone think twice about joining and avoid winding up in the same postion you are in.

Out of curiosity, if you come to a situation while driving and you are not 100% sure of whether to power through, or hit the brakes, in that split second what do you normally do?
Usually, I gas it!
