You know I find it interesting to find active Jw's throught thease boards. Arn't they indefiance of the prime directive against worldly associations? Isn't it hypocrical? About Carlo's site Useing "Angel fire" as a host for his site? Angel and Fire, sounds odd for a contientious JW, Wouldn't that be missundestood by a non JW? I mean no disrespect to the People of "Angel Fire" who do provide This resource. How ever I would like to also commend Carlo for being open minded enough to hang with us apostates and remain faithfull to the JW klan.
I checked out your page. According to both the JW articles, your own statement (the don't-policy) and the other replies it definitely seems like the society discourages personal websites - as well as general use of the Net.
But then, having your own webpage, does that not give you problems in your Congregation?? I talked to another witness, an american girl. She had been receiving nasty emails, accusing her of being an apostate etc.. Does that happen to you?? And if not, do you think that the policies might be more lineant in Denmark???
The WTBTS is doing a PR job when they tell you that it is totally up to the individual. This statement sounds better than the actual truth of the matter, which is that in publications and at assemblies, JWs are constantly warned about the evils of the Internet, and told that individual web pages are neither necessary nor proper. They stress that people should go to the "official" web page and no other.
yet....it amazes me at the conventions how many experiences are related by c.o.'s and d.o.'s about dubs conducting "online" bible studys.
you cant go to the mall, stay home, go shopping at the grocerie store or walk the street without being harrassed by dubs wanting to spawn seeds of "truth" all over you. now its actually encouraged to seek people out on the net, yet...don't look at anything but dubs approved sites.
huuuuuuurl....
