When you feel emotionally tense how do you release the tension? By laughing, socialising, playing computer games, or some other way?
For me it's humour really funny ideas come to mind and make me laugh a lot, also by doing some sport such as swimming, listening to nice music and of course by socialising.

Now What?
I read. I actually like to study, so I read alot. Ironically it was by reading the stuff the WTS quotes from that made me see how much poopoo was in the articles. They always said study study study, so I did. Bad advice on their part. Now I like to read even more to see what I can dig up. I actually find it fun to share some 'new light' about the 'new light' with the folks at the KH. Thats definitely a tension release. When the eyes get tired from reading, I like computer games.

I go to the gym and lift weights. Endorphin feels good.
I like to do something really meticulous. Like clean a gun, or rebuild a cardeurator.

I used to know someone who would go to flea markets and garage sales to buy used plates and glassware. She'd pile them all in boxes in the garage, and when one of her moods started, she'd go out to the garage and smash the be-jeebers out of the dishes until it was out of her system. Then she'd sweep up all the pieces and put them in another box, ready for when she felt like doing some mosaic artwork.
What works for me..... popping bubble wrap.... listening to music and dancing.... writing.... having a good cry... driving out to my favorite quiet spot and feeding the ducks

I pour a glass of chilled wine....and curl up with a good book (James Patterson, Jack Higgins, Patricia Cornwell). If I'm really tense......I put on some real tear jerker CD's (usually good country love songs) and have a really good make your nose red cry! Or lately I've been reading threads on the forum......!

i hack when i am stressed. it's the best. or if it is convenient, i go for a hike in the hills. lots of good trails around here.
