I haven't red the books yet, but have the movies, my 4 year old and I love Harry Potter!!

ONE . . . MORE . . . WEEK!!!!! We pre-ordered two of the books to avoid a massacre at the house. I guess we adults can sneak into their rooms at night and read a few chapters while they're asleep!

Amazon had a deal where they can deliver the book to you on the day of release with a massive discount which they recent told me they'd increase. My daughters have a copy ordered, and I'll get mine a few days later (being in Holland)

What I love most about Harry Potter is that J K Rowling was a single mum and a teacher like me, and she used to sit in a coffee shop in Edinburgh to keep warm, cos she couldnt afford the utility bills, and write the books.
The corridor scenes were filmed at Gloucester Cathedral where I live - well I dont live IN the cathedral cos im far too holy for them and they know it, but I live about 2 miles away.
A couple of years ago some idiots went into the cloisters at the cathedral and smashed some stained glass windows and caused £50 000 worth of damage, and the glass was irreplaceable cos it was hundreds of years old. And there are tombs in the cathedral dating back to 1100ad and 1300ad. And on some of the marble coffins of kings theres graffiti that is hundreds of years old! Its a truly amazing building.

We have always gone to the midnight release of the books. Even when we were still active, we read Harry, watched the movies, and even watch Disney movies. We just didn't tell anyone.

Harry Potter cant be demonised because Gloucester Cathedral let them film the corridor scenes in Glos Cathedral cloisters. And they are like a TOP cathedral. Way more holy than bethel - theyve got real kings burried there!
