Everytime I see this thread reappear i start to thinkg of all the benefits of "DATing myself"! Arggh!
Well, Crumpet...what are the benefits to dating yourself?
Back on topic...I have chosen to fade away. The benefits: I get to keep my family relationships mostly intact. I still have some contact with various JWs in the area both socially and on a work basis. The downside: Invariably it comes up about my being inactive and when will I get my act together. That would be the benefit of DAing. No pressure to conform anymore. But losing family would be tough. So I choose to put up with the pressure to keep family.
