I've talked to about a dozen different folks on the phone. It was great to hear the voice, and gave us a much better 'connection'. Met a few in person, and they were all quite delightful!
hehe, if I had a LD pkg, I know there would be many more calls, but my little cell phone should be made of gold for what it costs for LD!

I have met more than I have talked to over the phone. So far so good. Everyone has been really nice and no one has really thrown me for a loop. I met everyone I chose to talk to in person first. That helped. I was very jumpy about meeting everyone. The first person I saw was Valis...Could not miss him. It was very funny. Looked just like his picture.

spoke to pc and dj. subsequently met both. they were very close to how i had pictured them.
dj has a fierce regional accent and laughs while she talks requiring close listening attention.
I've met two and also talked to them on the phone right before I met them and really didn't have much of an opinion formed. I was a little scared of meeting the female as I was going to show her and her friend around Mexico. It alsways nice showing a hottie around and even if she wasn't hot, I would have been a gentleman and good host. Boy did I strike the jackpot with a hottie and her friend was hot too!!!
Also met another guy back east whilst there recently on holiday and he was cool as well. I only pay attention to certain prolific posters and the rest seem to slip my mind easily.
I haven't talked to anyone from the board, although I do have several numbers from posters (just in case).
I was going to text Crumpet and the crowd at the England Apostafest, But I didn't know if it would charge me a lot...
I hope to soon meet some of the NC posters, I came close to meeting a few... But we'll work on that..

Me too. Been nearly 3 years now, but I remember going to my first apostafest (at Gloria's on Lemmon) and seeing this very happy blonde Rastafarian dude cheerfully greet me and my woman. It really helped a serious case of nerves.
I've met or spoken to over 100 people on this board, but that first meeting will always stay with me.
