They can sterilise them or for facial shaves they can use new ones every time, they charge enough for a shave.

I now cut my own hair, but back when I went to the barber shop they always used electric razors.

I normally go to the local Famous Hair and I dont think they use them at all. I've always wanted to go to an old fashoned barber and get a hot towel straigh razor shave though. Although I've never really thought about the health issues.

Come to think of it, my barber uses a folding handle much like a traditional straight razor, but puts a single-edge disposable blade into it - new one every time. So I guess that takes care of any health issues.
Unless of course he's epileptic, has a sudden fit and slashes you to bits. So far that hasn't happened. -

Can't help you here E. I've been my personal barber for over 20 years. Haven't sat in a barber's chair since 1983, though I've always enjoyed a woman toying with my head.
