I read Crisis of Conscience, and it convinced me to start attending meetings again.
SBF - If you are serious, I feel sorry for you. But at least you are here often enough to know how hypocritical your religion is. Did you also read about the Hitler death camps and decide to become Nazi?

I'm sure that was said with tongue firmly planted in cheek

"I got a fraction of the number of responses when I posted the news that I was having a baby. Guess I am just not that interesting." Theres 2 reasons for that 1. It doesn´t upset me so I don´t feel that I must respond. 2. The poor to non-existent social skills I have because I was raised as a JW. ;) Lazy

I also notice that whenever dubs or trolls come here discussions get to be very animated and the threads lengthen at great speed, because everyone loves controversy.

Well if we screened out the witlesses, it may totally cut down on how many belly laughs I enjoy from reading some threads such as the one from YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL IDIOTS. That one was a riot.

I love reading contentious threads eg, AlanF vs Scholar...

a discussion group where we all think the same would be as boring as a , well , a Theocratic Service Meeting!

I LOVE YPAAI. That was a fantastic thread he started that brought out the best in comedic value. I just wish he would come back and play.

I hated the 5555555 guy though. I guess everyone had different peopel that wind them up.

    SBF,

Only you know how much of that statement is true. It is a standard defense mechanism.

I used the technique once when I was planning to do something that troubled my conscience. When an old friend challenged me, and tried to talk me out of my proposed action, in desparation I told him it was his opposition that made me all the more convinced that I was right. This was of course untrue, but I would not admit it, especially to myself.
