I remember running across a website for this a long time ago. As I recall, it was sort of sexual. I couldn't imagine why a bunch of people would want to get all hot and bothered over cartoon animal-people. But, I guess whatever floats your boat. Can't say I hate them as I haven't run into any furries since.
My husband used to work for a Japanese animation company - they put out the Dragonball Z/GT series. His first year there, he told me about A-Con...the annual Japanimation Convention. That year it was being held in Dallas, so we decided to go and see his company's booth. Some of the Dragonball artists and voice actors would be there to sign autographs, so it was a big thing. To support the Japanese theme, I decided to wear my Hello Kitty t-shirt. LOL
Yikes! What an eye-opener THAT was! Although most Japanimation is fine children's entertainment, I didn't realize there was animation pornography...some of it with animals. And there were booths for their company's product...with their voice actors and artists signing autographs too.

And like Star Wars and Star Trek fanatics, there are porno Japanimation fanatics too. People dress as their favorite animation character. The first person I saw, dressed as his favorite character, was a short, very overweight man dressed in 4" black stilleto heels, fishnets and a G-string, burple bunny ears, purple lame bustier, complete with a bunny "tail" on the lower back. I was really dumbfounded as to what character he was dressed as...until I saw the animal pornography booth.
All of a sudden my Hello Kitty t-shirt seemed oddly out of place. LOL
