It's hard to tell, people that lived in the 1950's will probably know better, and these temperature cycles do occur every so often, there was a time when the south of England was a wine producing region.
Do you believe the earth is warming up in your area?

My parents who are in their 70's say that in the 1950's spring was much warmer...summer came much earlier....and the summers were hot from beggining to end. These days, it takes time for the summer heat to finally arrive....just like this year. They also noticed that Fall is hotter now, pushing back winter's start.
So, the way they see it, everything is offset rather than warmer or colder....

In NC in our area the rivers would freeze in winter and my grandparents could ride a wagon pulled by mules across it back in the early 1900s. Now it hardly ever get's any ice in winter.

Well down here in the Southern Hemisphere it is believed that we are situated under a huge hole in the ozone layer - rather comforting - I mean it gets hot as hell down here. And believe me there is actually a place call Hotashell.
Our Summers are getting warmer - that just means we got to drink more cocktails and slap on some more sun block on those brown bods

It has been CRAZY hot in Wisconsin for weeks. It rained really hard last night though, and today seems a little cooler.

Dustin ,how lucky you are because we haven't had rain for awhile and the crops are all drying up . When we do get any rain which is far and in between , it is so hot that it just dries right up .
