As my daughter says whenever she steps outside and it is really hot, "It's hotter than the devils dick out here"!

We aren't the worst in the country, but it is unpleasant. Been mostly cloudy, rainy, very humid and mid to upper 80's for a while now. It's the humidity I can't stand....very uncomfortable.

Same here - they have issued a 'Heat Index Warning' here in the Hoosier state. One report said it would be index of 105 - 110 F. this afternoon. I am glad it is my day off - I have to work outside on a hot asphallt lot in this crap.

Everyone be careful - this heat can kill you - literally.

Don't you live near the sea or a lake where you can jump in and cool down instantly? I don't like air conditioners and will only use them if it gets really hot I mean over 35 Celsius with high humidity.

Is 35C approx 95F? Don't have a conversion chart here.

Anyway, GD, we have been having high 90's and high humidity [I mean high humidity - today around 65%] for weeks here. There are lakes, but you can't just go jump in the lake at a moments notice. This heat is oppressive. I can barely catch my breath when I step outside of AC.

Yeh man, you need ac stateside in this junk. No ocean breezes here. Nearest ocean from me = 900 miles or about what 1500 kilometers

Well I'm not too far from Lake Ontario but unfortunately, it's so polluted that I wouldn't let my dog swim in there.....ya, the government tries telling us it's safe, but I don't see any of them taking their kiddies down there to swim........ I don't like air conditioners and will only use them if it gets really hot I mean over 35 Celsius with high humidity. That's me as well......I prefer outside air but this crap is deadly-----literally: not only is it the heat, but the humidity's at something like 85% and we have all the lovely smog (aka pollution) that comes from the Nickel mines in Sudbury, the factories in Michigan and I just found out the other day that we're also getting alot of the pollution coming up from the southern States too and it all converges over the Great Lakes and just sits here.

I damn near went running to the Kingdom Hall to tell the dear brothers their "ruining the earth" idea was right and armageddon must be near! I was thinking what if it was getting hotter on the planet and next year it's gonna be too hot for my arse........and everyone elses.
