Speaking of Weezer .;.. I got my hashpipe! Very happy, destructive R&R!
lol !
I didn't get to see Greenday play near me. I have however seen Nine Inch Nails twice and Garbage so far this year.
Got tickets to see Garbage two more times this year and then Bloc Party in October. I'm hoping to get some tickets to see Death From Above 1979 in August.
Ignored One.
Somebody at work burned me a copy of Green Day's new album. All I can say is it has it's good songs, but the rest of the album is rather disposable.
Green Day's best album has to be Insomniac, and Nimrod is a close follow up. I can listen to Insomniac all the way through, and Nimrod with skipping only that damn "Good Riddance" song. Never did like that one.
I still have yet to check out Green Day's first two albums (the ones before Dookie).
I've always related to Basket Case for some reason...

You're not missing much. They sound like they were recorded in a garage or something. Very low budget.
Dookie was in my walkman non stop back in the day. Have the new album as well but it doesn't really grab me. ~ 3 songs I like, the rest I could leave behind.

Oh, ignored-one ,,, I am jealous!!! You've seen some good ones ...hey, let's all celebrate garage bands!

I've never really had a problem with the "raw" sound, unless it's recorded on someone's ghetto blaster. Some "raw" first albums I like are Nirvana "Bleach", Blue Oyster Cult's debut, Motley Crue "Too Fast for Love". These three albums sound low budget, but the songs are fantastic.
