I never knew any JW family that celebrated this rite of passage. I think our elders would have been on them like a ton of bricks. I remember when a young couple got married at our KH the elders told them up front they couldn't have a huge reception. But the next year, the elder's daughter had 500 people at her wedding reception!
Instead of paying a visit to a Church, they could always go to the Kingdom Hall. Oh, wait a minute. They do that enough times already.
