Do jw's even realize that to 'outsiders' the wording of "jehovah god" makes it sound like they are trying to distinguish between 'other gods' and 'jehovah god'? Sorry, if I'm not clear enough. Jw's I've talked to cannot seem to understand the question. To make a ridiculous comparison- what if it was say, Bob God as opposed to Joe God. Do you see my point? Don't forget satan god (of this world) and jesus (mighty) god.

I'm sorry, "Satan god?" Not thinking to clearly. He got dunked today. What? I thought Jesus was given 'all authority' as in now today, and in biblical times. carla

Sorry, i thought you came from a jw background. Jw's say that satan is the god of the world. If you read john1:1 to them, they will admit that jesus is a sort of god. But, niether of them are considered 'true' gods. Still, a person could make a joke that they believe that there are 3 gods, and need to use name descriptions in front of the god title. So, you get jehovah god, jesus god and satan god. Silly, i guess. It's late here.

    carla,

they are trying to make a differentiation between their one true god, and other false gods, even though half of them come from the same bible they read. what i mean, is that even though other christians worship jesus, the witnoids consider him to be a false god if he is worshiped by someone other than a witness. so for example: catholic worships jesus = is actually worshiping satan.

i know, it's sick and illogical, but hey, that's what they are! thet'll never come out and say it (i don't think anyways), but that's what they imply.

I haven't thought about this for a while, in fact I've probably never given it as much thought as I should have. How bizzare it seems to me now?? It's the whole, setting themselves apart, mentality. I think it's incredibly big of any religion to claim the sacred name of 'Jehovah' to title their group. No group in history had been game/disrespectful/self-assured enough to do that until the witnoids came into being.

Satan is the "god of this system of things" which is why they think that anyone outside of the JWs is under his influence.

Jesus is a "mighty god" and they justify this stance by saying "yes but he isn't "ALmighty God". First you have the AL at the beginning and secondly you have the capital G, Jesus is simply "mighty god""

Then they claim that they're not polytheistic. MMMM well it sounds to me that you believe in multiple gods. Plus, there is one true God so that makes Jesus a false god?

This may be their reasoning, but it's still not proper English. Apparently they're using 'god' as a title, and in English, titles come before the actual name.

How many times have you heard 'Elizabeth Queen'? 'Charles Prince'? 'Bush President'? 'Judy Judge'?

These idiot witnoids are obiously not avid Word users. If anything, it should be 'God Jehovah', but even that sounds unnecessarily redundant.
