My favorites for women and men are Aveda and Chanel. I have become allergic to perfume over the years so I can't wear them anymore. I sure miss them, though. When I am on a crowed bus inhaling all the different scents, it nearly brings on an asthma attack.

For men Dolce Gabbana and Lancome's Miracle, for women Escada's island kiss and Yves Saint Laurant's opium.

When I flew for a major airline, men and women would stop me as I passed by to ask what I was wearing fragrance wise. I should have been paid because I sold so much of it. Try Calyx from Prescriptives. Sold at major upscale dept stores.

Calyx smells like soapy, citrus light and clean. It is the only thing I have worn for years and was not offensive to passengers or crew. Just a nice fresh clean smell and the men would ask me to write it down so they could buy it for their wives. The lotion by itself is so nice to wear.

People are so heavy handed sometimes with their perfume makes you wanna gag. Also so many children and adults have severe allergies it's best to not have your scent go beyond your own range. I HATE when someone hugs me and I can smell them for the rest of the day.

If I had more disposable income I'd indulge myself in Jo Malone (amber and lavendar) or a chocolatey Annick Goutal, or the Miller Harris tangerine one...etc etc. At the moment, I am wearing Stella McCartney, which I love. (to pre-empt the inevitable perv questions: yes, I am wearing clothes too...)

Fresh sweat on clean skin is fabulous - but failing that, anything bitter-musky like jasmine, vetiver, patchouli (no, it is not "sickly-sweet," but woody), cedar, or Fabergé's Tigress - which they don't make any more, I'm afraid.

Or, if you dig that old-time magic, Lucky Mojo's John the Conqueror oil! I love its wonderful bitter/clean/woody fragrance.

I like the warm fragrance of frankincense.

I recently discovered I like things with calamus in them - a sweet, rich, almost edible fragrance, but light and refreshing. It also appears in an old-time magic formula called "Essence of Bend Over".

And I like roses. To my nose, fresh rose fragrances fall into two classes: "clean water" (the most common in perfumes) and "beer" - and now we're back to bitter/clean/woody again.

Not only would she give you her almost-new silk dresses, she would definitely let you have an extra day off for Christmas when you asked. And nice? You bet she'd treat you nice!

I love poeme by lancome and narcisse by chloe, i love lulu and eternity calvin klein, and I love gloria vanderbilt and pleasures by estee lauder, oh man there are so many, poison is lovely, but i think im maddest on poeme at the moment its so nice :)

I stoped wearing antiperspirant/deoderant about a year ago. I don't use cheap soaps or shampoo, and I don't use colognes or perfumes.

I do use essential oil blends that friends or I have made. I used a blend of oils last weekend on my sunburn, and it felt really nice, and smelled light and healing. I like the earthy tones, like Bergomont or Vetiver, added to woodsy scents like cedar, cypress, tea tree, sandalwood...I'm not really into florals, but have worn blends with patchouli.

I also like sweaty man smell as long as it has not gone sour or is not excreating chemicals (drugs/meds) from the body.

I think I need to eat more garlic as my immune system is weak, but I don't want to smell like a garlic bread. Decisions decisions.
