A teenager having sex with a non member is supposed to bring reproach on god's name, yet killomg off church members with esoteric rules and allowing convicted child molestors to preach at people's doors does not bring reproach on Jehovah's name.

Can somebody buy these guys a clue?

They haven't figured out that baptism doesn't protect teenagers from anything. When a kid does something that naturally comes with the territory, they're shunned which damages them "spiritually" forever. They can usually not ever erase that mark against them even after they "show repentence" and get "reinstated."

Baptising kids is one of the most self-defeating things the wts does to itself.

Hopefully, your support through all of this will help her to see the goodness outside that organization.

And if they didn't want to bring "reproach" on "Jehovah's" name, wouldn't have been wise to not try to use the name as a marketing ploy? When people think of the name "Jehovah", they think "annoying cult" rather than "powerful god" thanks to this religion. That is the ultimate reproach.

The JW's blaspheme Jehovah with everything they do in His name. They are a demon cult that destroys people's minds and lives.

They are just like modern day Pharisees that like to put many burdens on people but will do nothing to help them, they are the one's that bring reproach on God by misrepresenting his actions and character.

Soledad thanks for the birthday greetings.

The Bible itself mentions that men are viewed as "mere grasshoppers", "dust", "made of dust". If we're regarded this insignificant by this Almightly God, how in the world could such a low creature in comparison bring reproach to its creator???!!!

    The concept is incomprehensible!!!!!!!!!!

It's almost like saying that the doings and behavior of ants or other lower forms of life bring reproach to humans, which are considered superior in comparison. The reasoning that mankind brings reproach to an Almighty God is just pure craziness!!!

In other words this heavy sounding accusation is another form of cultic manipulation that is calculated to induce fear, once more that all shatering God image is being utilised.

Isaiah 40: 15 Look! The nations are as a drop from a bucket; and as the film of dust on the scales they have been accounted. Look! He lifts the islands themselves as mere fine [dust]. 17 All the nations are as something nonexistent in front of him; as nothing and an unreality they have been accounted to him.

22 There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavens just as a fine gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell.

I'd like to know how much actual reproach of God's name must be observed by the elders before they can declare someone to have brought reproach upon God's name.

Yeah, well, I got to thinking: sometimes dust is pretty damn valuable. Gold dust ... diamond dust ... stardust ... kif ... or, hell, plain old salt or sugar.

If you're still inclined to take the Bible seriously, please remember that this is a comparative measure, not an absolute one!!
