It seems that it is done to elevate themselves, isn't it?

    Worldly people are;

    All immoral

    Never live to Christian standards

Are not as racially tolerant as witnesses

Are not as clean spiritually or physically

    Under the control of demons

Don't pray or or not spiritual

    Do not read their Bibles

    All are war mongers

Do not think like Christians do

    ect

Seems that all these judgements are done for the purpose of elevating the witnesses in their own mind. Has the WTS done this as part of a massive brainwashing campaigne aimed at making the witnesses so judgemental that no one could influence them to think if it doesn't come from the FDS?

I remember for years having a completely unreasonable view of worldlings - and now I see it kept me from really trusting others on the outside. Do you think that is the plan? Or is it just coincidental?

the judgement that all worldly people are unkind and have ulterior motives if they ARE kind is a big one.

i didnt know what kindness was till i found a friend in the world. (something i was never blessed with as a jw)

It was judge rutherford who started the separating work. Since he was an asshole all around, and up and down, he planned it. He was a lawyer and had been a politician. So, he wasn't naive about how to manipulate.

?............ But going in as an adult I felt like I had to walk on eggshells around them ALL the time, I was even talking about this to someone today. In our hall you couldn't mention what movies you saw, books you read etc, because you were judged by them (I put that in my disassociation letter last month by the way) I remember being new to the 'lie' and in the KH I was making a comment like ' it frigged up my whole day' well one of the lady's standing there nearly fainted and I didn't know why for about two days, I said the "frig" word again and a pioneer said that 'we' don't say the FR word........Now I found this funny because being from the "world" nearly every second word out of my mouth was the F**** word. Believe me when I say...... 'my Kh judged people on everything'!!!

    Good point Satanus.

You might be right on there. Under Russell there seemed to be a completely different spirit and ideology.

I have often thought what a different organization it would have been without the influence of Rutherford. He certainly laid in plans to keep witnesses in check during his lifetime - I think that F Franz was working hard on the inside even then to assure his own power too. And he was around for the next 50 years after Rutherford to continue the program of control.

I always called that 'cubbyholing'. You are right it was not just the outsiders. Everyone fit into a cubby - Elder, Pioneer, weak, strong, inactive, unbaptized publisher, former Bethelite, ect. And individual actions - as you mentioned. Bot a two door car, married a weak brother, shows up larte for the meetings, even wears the wrong color shirt when giving a talk.... on an on ad nuaseum.

Ever thought about all the ways Jw's judge?

It's too overwhelming to begin because that is the fundamental foundation of the cult.

They judge themselves first and foremost even when they are told not to right from their "bible" the WT. They cite the widows mite and how its motive not amount that counts then when the elders meet to discuss bro's qualifications for appointment (elevation) as an MS they say: "well his hrs are low....lets see deduct 4 right away for his family study therefore he only is VISIBLE say 5 or 6 hrs a month isnt he?" This is so stupid to me because we are told by the WT that our children are our primary disciples.. so WTF you deduct the time spent studying with them?? Point is they judge each other and always look at each other with a critical eye, questioning why you arent at the meeting, service, etc and the elders are rthe worst in doing this. Pure cult psychological pressure at its finest.

It's definately their plan. If trust was formed with others on the 'outside', then the troof would be recognized for what it isn't. There goes the money and their ability to think they are right about everything.

IMO the worst JW judging is: "Your good deeds only count if you are a loyal JW. Mother Theresa - just forget about her. All her deeds won't help her survive the big A as she didn't use the right label wasn't a JW."
