IMO the worst JW judging is: "Your good deeds only count if you are a loyal JW. Mother Theresa - just forget about her. All her deeds won't help her survive the big A as she didn't use the right label wasn't a JW

When Mother Theresa died, I commented to my mom that a great, generous, kind and compassionate person was gone from the world, she said that "MT was still a worldly person in a false religion and should have been a JW, to bad she wasn't." I was like WTF!

I was extremely conscience of the whole judging thing, even when I was in that faith. I used to wonder how the brothers & sisters would say after having a "not interested" door - ah well that's them, they'll die at armegeddon. I know I sometimes judged as well, I had to make myself understand that I was not in a position to judge.

And let's not forget "insincere". All worldly people are well aware that the Witnesses have the truth, they just make up objections and pretend to believe all sorts of other nonsense as an excuse for not doing any field service.

It seems that it is done to elevate themselves, isn't it?

I couldn't agree more. I also get the impression that they feel they have a God-Given right to judge others, yet will condemn others for doing the same.

I have been looking at this exact topic for a while. There is for sure a smugness about jws that they carry around with them. I first saw it when an elder came to my house to preach to me. When we could not come to terms on anything, I finally tried to end it and said if someone truly believes that what they practice is right, then they cant be wrong. The elder said no. He said we both cant be right. He said either I am right or you are right. Then he challenged me to what he called a race, to prove that he was wrong. This is particually annoying because after I began to research the jws, I put together a bunch of questions for him and he refused to answer. In any case the mindset of I am right and the rest of the world is wrong is a huge ego booster for people who have the type of ego that wants to be better than everyone else. Why do you think they want to shoot up the ranks to elder? You can see it in the faces of dubs when they are all together. They look like an elite social club, and they are literally thinking about how great they are compared to the rest of the world. I mean what is more selfish than thinking that you are gods only people, chosen personally by him, and the only ones he likes, and that you are the only ones who have a relationship with him? Sort of like when kids are unpopular, the invent an imaginary friend and tell thier friends about the imaginary friend just to appear popular.

Judgemental is a 'given' among the witnesses.

    Matt. 7:1-5

" 1 “Stop judging that YOU may not be judged; 2 for with what judgment YOU are judging, YOU will be judged; and with the measure that YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU . 3 Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the rafter in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Allow me to extract the straw from your eye’; when, look! a rafter is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First extract the rafter from your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to extract the straw from your brother’s eye."

The admonishment is not to just not judge. It is to not judge hypocritically. Thus, when one believes themselves beyond reproach, they are given full authority to judge others.
