So if some of the FDS have to survive until Armageddon comes, then they have a problem.
What happens if all those who feel entitled to be part of the FDS die out and there will not only be no Armageddon, but none of the big prophecies leading to it won't have been fulfilled by then (desctruction of religion, peace and security, etc.)? Who will rightfully lead the Organization?
They're going to have to start revising their doctrine soon enough to avoid this problem. The truth is, however, that the old farts are to self-conceited and lazy about it. Their end is pretty close anyway, so why should they risk their comfortable lives? Why even think about it? Wouldn't it count as "allowing doubts to develop"?
I'm telling ya, we're living in fascinating times. Whatever they do, they'll lose much of their reputation. LOL.

well, thy simply annoint new ones... the youngest in the GB is about 50 years old or so. and the "true number" of annointed is unknown, that's why gerrit lösch said "the number of 'real' annoined is decreasing" - a sign of the end. the numbers are increasing, but the "real number" is decreasing. whatever. -

Please note, for your own information, this is totally WRONG and totally NON-BIBLICAL!
Some of the anointed remnant have thought of surviving and living on to welcome back such resurrected faithful ones who died before Pentecost 33 C.E. Will the anointed be thus privileged?
THIS IS HOW IT WORKS!
Jesus and the anointed have to be back in the flesh to rule on the earth for 1000 years, then after that Satan gets released, and his folowers "surround" the anointed and rebel and are destroyed. Then they become judges of the dead who come back from the graves on JUDGMENT DAY. Then after that they all go to heaven.
So this idea of worrying about the few anointed that had not died, thinking they will be up in heaven while all this judging and activity yet to be done on earth is still going on (duuhhhhhh!) is not Biblical! That's why it doesn't work!
The anointed and Jesus Christ are on the earth during the millenium; that's where the WTS goes wrong.
So basically all the dead anointed come back before the mellenium in the flesh and joint those presently alive in the flesh. And then they remain in the flesh for the millennium and after Judgment Day. THEN they go to heaven. The WTS has it all wrong.
Think about it! How can they be kings and priests up in heaven in that large number and be effective! Wouldn't it be better if they were on the earth? I mean, it's 1000 years! What are going to do? Inspire dreams with the Other Sheep elders? How will they communicate with them, indirectly by holy spirit? Pa-leeeze! Their main job is on the earth and that is where they will be! The incorrect concept of what the reality is is why the witnesses are confused about this and wondering about the anointed who survive armageddon.
The fact that they imagine the anointed are all up in heaven enjoying their "reward" when they are supposed to be judging everybody on the earth, doesn't work. The fact that they have this wrong is only more evidence God has excluded them from the "light of truth" because they have become apostate. They are now in spiritual darkness.

google,
I don't think it's that simple. I just don't know how much of a say the younger ones have in the GB and if they really feel entitled to take over and nominate new ones ad infinitum. Even the dumbest of dubs will start wondering: hey - this guy's my age. Why is he annointed and I'm not?
Anyway it will be interesting to watch things develop or stagnate while having a real life in the meantime.
JC,
Why don't you try to contact the Writing Dep with this revelation? And don't forget to record the conversation and post it here. I'm sure these paranoids would be humbled by your bible-based delusions. ;-) And don't forget to introduce yourself properly - something that you haven't done here recently. Maybe it's the new medications? "Hello, this is me, the re-embodied messiah, I'm just calling to point out that...."

even the most intelligent dub will be told to be humble, doing his work in the place the org put him. it's so easy to control sheep.
and the by then young ones won't even remember that there was a time they said that the harvest of the "little flock" is completed. they won't have any access to watchtower literature dating back to 2001, they'll be told that "some over zealous brothers" thought, "the generation" would be the generation of 1914, but the org never said so... you know, the same old story. only different names.
[added]
however, i think everything will stagnate in this organization. i think "al quaeda" and the media currently is doing a good job helping the JWs flourish, but in the long run the now young ones will jump off. however i know several (should i say "really dumb") young folks, who are completely brainwashed and guarantee to run the org for times to come. maybe at a smaller scale, but it'll be around for a while. -

I dont necessarily belive they are the 'annointed', let alone the 'remnant' of the 'annointed'.... hey even armageddon looks iffy to me.

Answer: NO... Why?
1) They're not annointed
2) There's no Armageddon coming
The question is based on a false premise.

The question really is do those in the WTS organization who claim to be anointed think that they will die prematurely. We already see that several of the GB are in their 50's. Men are living to their mid 70's now so that means they have at least 20 years of life on earth still ahead. Do these JWs want to be taken by God prematurely into death much like they describe Enoch was taken?
Consider this, the marriage of the bride and the Lamb is said by the WTS to take place shortly after the destruction of Babylon the Great and before Armageddon starts. Will each and every individual 144,000 have to have died and gone to heaven for this to take place?
it-2 p. 787 Resurrection ***The Lamb’s marriage." These as a body are called his (prospective) "bride" (Re 21:9); they are promised to him in marriage, and they must be resurrected to the heavens in order to take part in "the marriage of the Lamb." (2Co 11:2; Re 19:7, 8)
Evidently, though, "the marriage of the Lamb" does not take place until after judgment has been executed upon "Babylon the Great." (Re 18) After describing the destruction of this "great harlot," Revelation 19:7 says: "Let us rejoice and be overjoyed, and let us give him the glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has arrived and his wife has prepared herself." When all the 144,000 have been finally approved and "sealed" as faithful ones and have been resurrected to the heavens, the marriage can proceed.

Ok so let me get this straight. It is current teaching that Babylon the Great will be destroyed before Armageddon? So this means JWs should be keeping an eye on the collapse of Christendom as the first big event, signalling that the Big A is imminent? How come I never heard of this aside from those flaky predictions by CT Russell & Rutherford?
