Anyone, man or woman, who takes care of their family.

I like that one. That's how I feel.

I enjoy reading answers to questions like this because I always get a new perspective on someone/something.

    My Husband!

I could not say enough about him. He is the most amazing person. I tell him that all the time.

p.s. I am becoming my own hero. I am saying F it all to what my family thinks. I haven't hurt my body to please them in almost 5 months. I am pretty proud to keep the food down and say I am ok. I may not be what I want. I also have to rememer they make me think that's what I want. Everyday I become more and more my hero and I have you to thank!

My husband. He has more love in his little baby toe than most people have in their whole beings. He is always willing to help someone, share what few resources he might have, in order to fulfill their needs. He loves me in spite of my quirks/foible/depressions. He always looks on the bright side of everything. He listens, gives counsel, and loves everyone right where they're at. He doesn't try to change anyone to his desires. He's humble, never proud and makes me want to be a better person.

At the moment, my best friend. Who I have know since I was 5! She recently went back to school. It is very difficult when you have been away for awhile. She understands she has to make plans for her future, even if the spouse is content with less than 'higher goals' in life. She is a real people person! She can and does go anywhere and will just make friends with anyone. She is usually game for anything! She is like a sister to me, even more so than my 'real' sister. carla

    My hubby!

He might be surprised to find me saying that....especially publicly.

This man that I married may, to others, seem like a distant man (he is very quiet) but he is ALWAYS there for me. I am not the easiest person in the world to live with but this man of mine has always been there for me and has always listened (listens) to me. He has never been a witness yet he patiently listens to me when I am going through a tough time with memories. He may not totally understand the pain I feel at times but he has always been there for me.

    Hubby! I love ya hon!

Any woman that in this day and age has many children, more than six, when most women choose to have just one or two.

Also Winston Churchill because he proved to be so cool at a very dangerous and stressful time.

I don't think I have any heros per se.....however, off the top of my head I am a huge admirer of Alexander Hamilton

I tend to dig people who despite great odds do extraordinary, humanitarian things with little or no support like Marla Ruzicka. I also admire Andrei Tarkovsky for creating art, and deep spiritual movies despite an oppresive film system in communist Russia. I also admire Chuck Yeager, Ted Williams, Thomas a' Becket, and Che Guevara.
