  That thread has been very fascinating. There was another thread under Bible Prophecy, which has now been deleted and locked. It was by Uncle Onion...A Letter to the GB....and it dealt with the issue of chronology. He has done a LOT of research on the 607 B.C. and why it is incorrect.

  I should have copied it, but I didn't think they would find it that subversive. It was VERY long, but very informative. He even verified things with the British Museum to be sure he had his facts straight.

  It will be interesting to find out if he ever gets a reply from Brooklyn. After all, every date in use by the WTBTS hinges on that 607 B.C. date.

  BTW...I think Jane is a braindead idiot.

  He wont get a reply Red.You can bet on it.They must have recieved a zillion letters about 1914 and the 70 year prophecy.They didn't listen to Carl.Olof.Jonsson way back when....so i dont think they will be listening to someone who calls themself 'Uncle onion'

  Better check the link again. Apparently he recieved two replies. I've copied them and printed them out for my personal use. Such letters might come in handy in the future, as they show that one can have these concerns over 607 amongst other things, and that its not a Dfing offence.

  In addition, its obvious evidence of what the Society does when one writes them in confidence. Nice of them isn't it to send letters to your congregation.

  Ah, yes. He DID receive replies. Typical replies, I might add.....EVERYONE else is wrong, we're right....case closed. BTW, we're referring this to the elders so they can help you get your brain readjusted.

  Robbie has some really great points. No one there can really dispute what he's saying. All they can say is that they KNOW the FDS is God's representative because they just KNOW it....and, ain't life grand? Now how could anyone ever accuse JW's of being a cult? (insert major sarcasm here)

  Hey y'all,

  Yes, some persons are answering, or communicating, about Robbie's very fascinating and insightful questions over at witnet.

  One being Friend - another being Obed. Well, Mediggo and Jane are far flung in Paradise, but besides them, a really good discussion. Weavis can be sarcastically funny - I didn't know that!

  Man, makes me wish I was there sometimes - at least in the Controversial area. When Jane comments, don't ya just wanna say "Oh yeah?" But then she would probably comment on my not behaving as a Christian. And then I would have to say "Oh yeah? You should see my comments when I'm not behaving as a Christian!"

  Robbie's very long comments could, and imo - are, mirroring what a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses are wondering and thinking and doubting. We just can't do it face to face with locals for fear of reprisals in the form of "shepherding."

  Path From uncle onion's response from the Society, we know that the local elders have a copy of his letter. However, that was in June - does anyone know if the local elders have made a "shepherding call" on him yet to help him with his doubts about the WTBTS's accuracy?

  It was odd, in the WTBTS's response, that they insinuated that uncle onion was spiritually sick and should call upon the elders for help. In other words - you question us, you must be spiritually weak. Btw, uncleonion posted his second letter to the WTBTS on H2o today:

  Path, you said that a person could write the WTBTS about serious doubts and not get df'd. We don't know that yet - neither does uncle onion.
