gawd Im so old I actually have the "Strange Times" VINYL album!!! LOL. The lead singer of the Chameleons (or one of the bandmembers) actually did all the artwork. A great album! I remember buying it on import when I was 16 !! LOL

Yeah, Reg did the artwork on all their covers and on some of his own bands releases (the Reegs) I have got most of their stuff on vinyl and cd as well as most of the spin off Albums as well which must make an old git as well. Probably the Reegs stuff is the most interesting but the Sun and the moon stuff was pretty good. Did you catch any of the Chameleons reunion shows? I know they played quite a few dates in America but I don't know if they visited Canada.

No I never got to see them live. I think they still do shows, but I am unaware of any recent releases.

Great to meet BSS fans here! My favorite group right now, BTW, is Metric, which has two BSS members, Jimmy Shaw and Emily Haines. And Metric right now has a brand new album out (Live It Out), and it f%$#@& ROCKS!!!! I highly recommend it.
And of course, Broken Social Scene has a new album coming out too. Amazon says it is on its way to me. Anyway, Emily sings "Swimmers" on the new release (she sang "Anthems" on You Forgot it in People and "Backyards" on Beehives).

Yeah just downloaded tortoise - very nice track. Good grief that's another set of albums to buy. If you like BSS it reminded me of Explosions in the sky, a great band who have some very dub-esqe album titles.

They have now split up unfortunately and are unlikely to be touring together for the forseeable future, at least if Mark's (lead singer/bassist) comments on the forums are anything to go by.
