Kippered snacks ... herring, like you said, Brenda. You heat them and have with toast for breakfast. mmmmmm!
Even better is smoked cod, you warm it in just-below boiling water, and serve w/ an egg Bearnaise sauce with mashed potatoes on the side. The haddock equivalent, 'finnan haddie', is also quite tasty.

Yes, and it's hard to get smoked cod nowadays, as the stocks are depleted. It is one of my very favorite things in the world, mmm (love salt cod as well). You should try it, tho have never had it on toast. (It doesn't taste like kippers, it's much richer lol, I am getting hungry.)

Ah Freud and his own sexual fantasies.... I'm attached and couldn't chase after Tij, and Tij was attached, so I had to take it out on the twisted kippers.... I'm sure the Harley figures somewhere in there, too.
