Since all baptised Jehovah's Witnesses are required to give loyal obedience to the Watch Tower Society or F&DS, it's necessary to accept all the teachings of the organisation.

Next time you're challenged by an elder as to whether you accept all the teachings of the organisation, you might like to refer him to page 262 of the Daniel book.

There the "ships of Kittim" are 'identified' as the ships of Britain lying off the western coast of Europe in WW1. The 'logic' goes like this. Kittim is believed to be the ancient name of Cyprus. In the first World War Cyprus was annexed by Britain. Because the NIV renders the expression "ships of Kittim" as "ships of the western coastlands", thus the ships of Daniel 11:30 are British ships off western Europe.

    Did you follow that?

Ask your elder if he will explain it to you. Better still, ask him if he agrees with that explanation. If not, he's not accepting all the organisation's teachings. The next step is..........

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

For goodness sake, hasn't the Society learnt anything about making up preposterous interpretations of things that happened thousands of years ago???

Prisca, shaking her head in amazement...

    Obviously not, Prisca. LOL

Q: How do you know a Dub loyal to "Jehovah's Organisation" is lying?
    A: Their lips are moving.

Hey Ozzie, Room 215 and Prisca: Good points. I need to get a copy of the Daniel book. The Society is wonderful to keep us floating in more of the same BS. Helps the Apostate cause.

Yes, R215, Cyprus is still in the northeast Medeterreanan (sp). Gawd love the idiot writers at the Watch Tower, they truly make a good commic book religion.

Prisca, the Watch Tower will never learn. It goes something like this: "Brothers, Jehovah has revealed to us that we made a small, but understandable error in math, such that we failed to account for the kingly lineage of Nebuzurubberballsebubblebath, and as such we need to add 100 years from the time of the temple cleansing until the King on the Great White Horse takes his throne next to God's foot stool, and thus from 1914 we can arrive at the year 2014. Thank Gawd for the error, because look at all the Great company with us today poised to help sell magazines for the next 12 Years! That 12 Years corresponds symbolicly with the 12 Thrones of the 12 Tribes, with represents Jehovah's Modern Day Anointed Class with its 12 members of the Governing Body. And to think what a grand Gawd that Jehovah is to help us understand deep in this time of the end how King Nebuzurubberballsebubblebath fit into our progressive and growing light. Brothers! Arn't you just thrilled at how Jehovah Gawd feeds his people such fine spiritual food, such meat in due season! Remember how Christendom is starving for what we have. - Amazing

If you look closely, you can just see Daniel on the bridge of this 1907 British Dreadnought.

    The saga continues..........

"As the war dragged on, the British Navy was strengthened by more ships of Kittim...........U.S. President Woodrow Wilson declared war on Germany. Augmented by U.S. warships and troops, the king of the south - now the Anglo-American World Power-was fully at war with its rival king." (Daniel book, page 264, paragraph 14)

Did you follow that? "Ships of Kittim" from the U.S.? Cyprus must have moved a bit, eh?

OK elders, do you agree with this teaching? Now come on, be honest, do you really believe that?

Careful now, if the answer's "No" then you know what that means. don't you?

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

    Daniel 3: 29
Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way."

    Daniel 2:5
The king replied to the astrologers, "This is what I have firmly decided: If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces and your houses turned into piles of rubble.

Jeez, what a maniac! Can you imagine him at home?

    Hi Amazing,

Your reference to WT literature as comic book stuff is apt. Have you notice, that in common with Batman, Superman, Marvel Comics,
how they overuse the exclamation points? BAM!! SHAZAM!!
