Did being in the org really screw up your idea of what dating is.
I gues you would have to had "courted" in the org to answer this question.
The orgs idea of dating is in a sense to get married.
While outside.... marriage isnt even thought of for a looooong while.
my question is because i dont know if a girl is

NY I cant figure out if you are still a JW or if you are out, or sitting on the fence or what. I've been wanting to ask you that.
Sorry I left when I was 17, didn't have to deal with dating as a JW.

hey nytel, i am 42 now and single again, and a lone dad ... i agree with you - i just cannot tell when a woman is being serious with me, and i've been hit-on without realising it ... everyone else sees it and lets me know when it's too late ... even so, just to start a relationship, because of the programming, seems like a serious big thing to me ...

i left the jws at 17 too so didn't really have much experience dating as a jw. although, i had "boyfriends" but of course, never could be alone with them. i found the worldly boys were much more adventurous hehe.
seriously, if you wanna meet girls, my best advice is just to talk to them. to help with the brush off or casual thing, try to watch their body language...this can help clue you in to how the chick is reacting. let's you know if you can flirt a bit, but keep it light. unless she is flirting like crazy with you, hehe. anyway, nyt just be yourself. and if you have no idea how to read body language, try just to observe women talking with men...watch and see. i think eventually you will pick up on it have fun!

adding this, if you are talking in IM you can't really read body language...so just talk! be yourself. you'll figure it out
also, if you don't act like a psycho, you won't scare her away, just talk......eventually she may bring up her feelings for you...
i agree, it can be hard to figure out what's going on, but just stay calm and keep talking!
