Mopping kitchen floor barefooted. Stopped to rinse mop. slipped. Tried to catch my self with little toe. ???? SPLIT between my toes. Didn't hurt too much at first. Ask daughter to go get towel, she slips. Just bruised up. Blood everywhere. We pour water on it just to see how bad it is. Pretty bad. 10 stiches. The numbing shots were amazing!!! HL

Well, last year I broke a tooth and because of a lack of dental insurance and money I put off going getting it taken care of. Within 24 hours my cheek looked like it had an orange under it...I ended up going to a cheap dental clinic where I got antibiotics and was told to use up the medicine before going back to the dentist. 10 days later it was still orange like so I dipped a razor blade in hot water and then alcohol and drained it myself...it was really gross.
Nothing compared to pulling it myself though...although I was tempted.

Just stopped in for a post to say "Hey!!"....I got another horror story for you...LOL!..I`m taking down very heavy framing for storm windows.I`m holding one part up,trying to pry the other side off.The whole piece of frame work tears itself from the house,and my arm from my shoulder socket.My shoulder is now dislocated..Painfull or what!!..Not to mention freaky looking!..I straightened out my arm and kept my elbow very stiff.Then I grabbed my wrist with my other hand and jammed my shoulder back into the socket..Ohhh,that hurt!!..LOL!!...Take care of yourselves..Talk to you all later.....OUTLAW

{{ HUGS 2 U MY FRIEND }}
Hope you are feeling a bit better. Got anything for the pain?
A while back I bought a brand new pizza cutter. It was on the stove. I went to grab it and knocked it off the stove.
It dropped like a rocket right onto my big toe. I saw it fall in slow motion and couldn't grab it in time before the blade hit my toe dead on. So I just prepared myself for what I was about to endure. Oh man, the blood gushed all over the kitchen floor. Thank goodness I was near the papertowel rack. I had some butterfly bandages and patched myself up good. Took a while to heal and there is no scar.
Months before that, I was outback loking at the kitchen pipes while the plumber was inside looking at the sink. I was coming inside when I tripped over the walkway and kinked my forehead on the concrete. By the sound of it, I knew I split it open. Blood started gushing. I got sick to my stomach and just had to sit there a minute. When I stopped answering his plumbing questions, I guess he figured something was wrong and came outside.
He saw all the blood and asked what he could do to help. I said there were papertowels on the counter. He was very helpful and walked me inside. After I stopped the blood I told him I was okay and it was alright for him to go now. I went to the restroom and butterflied my gash. THAT one DID give me a small scar.
I absolutely abhor hospitals and doctors offices. So I usually patch myself up. Except for the time......
I've got tons more if ya ever get bored outlaw!!
Love ya, sKally

Faints dead cold on the floor
*gives elsewhere mouth to mouth*
I cut the knuckle of my finger off with a meat slicer once. The blood was pretty impressive. Instead of helping me, everyone backed away from me in utter horror. So, all by myself, I had to pick up my knuckle, walk to the ice machine, get a bag and put my knuckle on ice. They stitched it back on in the hospital, and now, 6 years later, my finger is fine, but you can see a nice scar.
In 1993, I had several oral surgeries and they had to "reconstruct" my mouth. Got some plates and screws in there. Last January, one night, while brushing my teeth, I could hear something crack, then felt something hard in my mouth. It was a screw, more than half an inch long. I called the dentist the next day, but he was so backed up that I couldn't get an appointment until April. In April, I didn't make my appointment because I was scheduled to work that day and couldn't find anyone to cover my shift. A new appointment was made, this time for July. July came and went, it was way too busy at work to even think about asking for half a day off. My new appointment is October 4th, the screw has been sitting in my medicine cabinet for 10 months now. We are understaffed at work, and unless a miracle happens, I will have to reschedule my October 4th appointment.
