Now that is COOL!!!!! Never saw one of those that glow in the dark. Just go with what you like - with anything you can find a reason that it might not be good. For instance. Throw out all of your forks - someone might get stabbed by one. Juni (Have a great evening Josie)

Slight correction, JWs are not allowed to modify or use their balls, in fact they must ignor them.

Would it be wrong for a Christian to use wind chimes in his or her home?

Many persons have used wind chimes to give a pleasant musical aspect to the home. When the wind blows, the glass, metal or wooden pieces hit against one another to produce the sound. However, it is the custom in some countries to put up wind chimes with the thought that they will keep evil spirits from entering the home. Obviously, a Christian would not make use of wind chimes for such a purpose. So if there is such a superstitious belief in one’s country, or community, it would not be wise to have a wind chime in the home. Thus no one will be stumbled or given the impression that Jehovah’s Witnesses make use of wind chimes for some unscriptural purpose.—1 Cor. 10:31-33.

However, if one’s motive in putting up a wind chime has nothing to do with false religion, superstition or demonism, and there is little possibility of others’ getting the wrong impression regarding its use in the home, it is a simple matter for personal decision.

Since sterilization procedures are now said to be reversible on request, might a Christian view them as a birth-control option?

But Christians who are not facing such an unusual and distinct risk would certainly want to use ‘soundness of mind’ and shape their thinking and deeds by God’s esteem for reproductive potential. (1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:8; 2:2, 5-8) This would reflect mature sensitivity to Scriptural indications. Yet, what if it became publicly known that a Christian blithely disregarded God’s evaluations? Would not others doubt whether he (or, she) was a good example, having a reputation of making decisions in harmony with the Bible? Such a disturbing blemish on one’s reputation could, of course, affect a minister’s being qualified for special privileges of service, though that might not be so if one had in ignorance had this procedure performed.—1 Timothy 3:7.

Are JWs not allowed to have windchimes? I've got one. Why is that an issue??? Andi

A windchime will keep the demons at bay. That's why the WTBTS says it's a no-no but is a 'conscience' matter. I say, a windchime a day keeps the demons away.

Hey that is one neat and beautiful looking "gazing ball" where did you find it? I'd love something like that in the courtyard of my house. My windchimes seem to be working....no evil spirits, demons or JW's in my house!

    I love your Fluff

I reworded the windchime article a little:

Would it be wrong for a Christian to celebrate their birthday?

Many persons have celebrated birthdays over the centuries to have a pleasant time. However, in some countries and cultures, celebrating birthdays has pagan roots. Obviously, a Christian would not celebrate birthdays for such pagan purposes. So if there is such a superstitious belief in one’s country, or community, it would not be wise to celebrate birthdays. Thus no one will be stumbled or given the impression that Jehovah’s Witnesses celebrate pagan holidays for some unscriptural purpose.—1 Cor. 10:31-33.

However, if one’s celebrating birthdays has nothing to do with false religion, superstition or demonism, and there is little possibility of others’ getting the wrong impression regarding its celebration by true christians, it is a simple matter for personal decision.
