For the last few days I've killed about six flies in my apartment. Not just regular flies, these are HUGE ass flies almost the size of bees!
I keep my trash can clean and the trash is picked up every other day. I also don't leave old food out. I have NO idea where they could be coming from. (I don't want to hear any stories about a Mommy Fly and a Daddy Fly either! )

Damn... just killed another one with a NetFlix DVD envelope (with the DVD in it).
Damn it! I just killed another and one more is dive bombing me!

This happened to us in one of our rental units. They are big kinda slow moving flies? Well it turns out there was a dead rat (or other deceased animal) under the house that they were "feasting" on -- we took off an outlet cover and they just came pouring out. Totally disgusting and glad my husband took care of it as I would have ran out of there like I was on fire.
Not saying your flies are death flies. . . but that was our experience.

I've got a bunch of Pigeons in the attic above my apartment! I wonder if one died up there!
I've already complained to the management several times to have them removed and the attic sealed off so they can't get back in.
Yikes. That's eery. As if flies aren't bad enough.
I had that problem in West Texas. I had to wait for them to go to sleep and get them all with a swatter. Then I broke down and bought a Shell no pest strip or two.
What's odd is is NEVER have bugs in my apartment.
I lived near a pasture where cows grazed. I learned very quickly to keep doors and windows screened or shut.
This happened at an apartment complex I worked at.....all the neighbors were complaining about flies and a weird odor for several days.....one unit in particular had flies all over his window. I went in to do a "well check" to see if everything was okay. Turned out the man renting it had been dead for days.
Sneak in the bathroom, and flush the toilet.
