Im honest when I say Im 37; I feel no need to lie about my age; it's nothing to be ashamed of.

My birthday is Thursday.... Happy birthday to me!!! No one will celebrate it, though.... ...... And yes, I tell the truth about my age, even though I am starting to feel all those years adding up.... I look younger than I am, I am told...

Yes, I'm proud that I am 40. People tend to not believe me and think that I am younger. People also think my children are older than they are because they are all so much taller than children their ages.

Hey I earned every single one of those years the hard way. I ain't giving them up for a lie.

Besides then I get to hear that people think I am about 10 years younger than I am.

Funny thing was that when I was in my teens and 20's everyone thought I was about 10 years older than I was.

I haven't lied about my age since I needed to for drinking purposes.

People used to say I looked about 10 years older than I am. So I decided to shave off the little remaining hair I had and grow a goatee and now I'm told I look 5 or so years younger than I am.
But I tell people my correct age if asked.

I'm pretty honest about my age. Usually people peg me for being younger. I did decide though that at my 30th birthday, that I could start going backwards if I wanted. Which is great since now my husband is older than me. LOL! So this last birthday, I was 26.

I say my real age. That is me in my avatar. I am going to be 47 October 15th. Sometimes people think I am in my late 20's.
