Brenda Lynn Cloutier. I never liked it. eh. And my parents pronounced our last name Clo tear. Ugh. No one can pronounce it right, nor spell it right.
When I was 2-3 I couldn't say it right, so I became Mimba.
Well, I learned to like my given name when I saw my adoption papers and the name my birthmother gave me: Vedette Marie Pearson. Vedette? Sounds like a hooker or porn star. So I well accepted my given name.
When I got divorced the first time, I searched our the pronounciation of my last name, and found it. Now, at least, people make a valliant attempt at correct pronounciation of it, and are often at least close, if not correct, and they do a bit better job of spelling it.
So... I'm Brenda. Bren. Brenny. Mimba. B'da. Hey You!
