I think 70-80% would drink it. They're already willing to die for the religion with the blood stand. That's the most important hurdle. If the WTS built up to the mass suicide idea over time, through the KM or WT, then scheduled DC's on the same date worldwide it could happen. It also wouldn't be impossible to post members of the Service Department at all exits, with guns, to finish of all the "apostates" who woudn't drink Jehovah's spirit provided Kool-Aid.

i often wonder about that myself. my family is still in, and though i doubt very seriously that the society would ever get to the point to where the pass around the special juice, (knock on wood), i would hope that my family would have the sense to walk away.
scary stuff when you really start thinking about it.

I actually used to wonder about this while I was still in. But I figured the gov bod would never ask us to do that, drink almond flavored kool-aid. But, if all of us were bleeding to death, in unison, they'd expect us to refuse blood. Same difference.
That is exactly what the ban on blood is, it is the jw version of the jonestown massacre. The only difference is it is played out over decades instead of all in one day. The victims are not in organized rows of dead, but rather they are dispersed throughout the world and only become known if some local newspaper catches wind of it somehow.
The WT massacre is less dramatic, and newsworthy, but no less deadly.
What is the bodycount? Does anyone know?

This would show much love on behalf of the JW's. To be able to have the chance to be resurrected. Wasn't the last assembly about Obeyyyyyyyyy. I know this is far fetched, and I can see it can be like yelling FIRE in a crowed place, but they are so crazy, in my wildest dreams, I can see this happening. HL

A heaven's gate is more plausible they died easy.Death by cyanide is a VIOLENT death.Those poor victims at Jonestown died horribly and had to watch it happen to their kids.
Good thing the stuff is hard to get a hold of.
