there are a ton of reasons

first, you can go to nightschool instead and earn a degree in a profession that is really in demand and get a good job with good benefits and a pension and all the other perks

if school is not for you then you can learn a new craft, such as pottery making or knitting or sewing or anything----hell, learn Arabic so you can translate terrorist speeches for the FBI or something----anything at all!

or you could sit at home and watch a good television show in your favorite robe and bunny slippers and have a good time!

me, I should have stayed home and just do regular homework and not fall behind in school like I often did!

I could think of a million trillion reasons to not go to those stupid reasons!

Meetings promote low self esteem by making individuals feel like they should do more. . . give us more money, more time, etc. Basically just throwing guilt around.

You shouldn't go if you want to grow a beard, Although an Elder told me one that it was ok for the black brothers to grow one because their hair folicles are different and they get ingrown hairs often

Lol no wonder why nobody goes crazy when I have a goatee. If I use a razor it gets bumpy and yucky.

My reason is because you miss a good Tv show. I hate missing American Idol results shows. Oops Idolatry..

But meetings are a great place to sleep, its so comfortable with the AC :D

Mainly because it doesn't matter if you do or don't. So, why bother?

I don't HAVE to wear a tie.....I don't HAVE to "obey" elders.....I don't HAVE to listen to the more boring repetitive bullshit ever heard.

Putting up with superficial acts of caring, like say the PO coming up to me asking how my marriage was doing and wanting to meet with me to uplift me spiritually AFTER the divorce had been finalized for months. I still laugh at his look of shock when I informed him that I was divorced.
