No Direction Home (the Scorsese documentary) is going to be on our public tv station tomorrow and Tuesday night. I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks, Simon,
I saw something about it here in the U.S., but I'm not sure if it's going to be broadcast on t.v., or in a movie?
I'd love to see it. Is it going to be a documentary series on bbc?
Hubert
Thanks, Luna2, That was what I was looking for.
I meant pbs, Simon and not bbc. Sorry.
Hubert
thats right, it will be on pbs tomorrow night.
the first time i really heard bob dylan i was about twelve and they were playing one of his records at a public pool. it was like nothing i had heard but i thought it was modern music. i ran to the concession stand and begged to know who it was. they were like, oh, it's bob dylan. cool.
i saw a sign advertising it on a bus a few weeks ago... and ran to catch the date and time. after all that...i still forgot. thanks for the reminder. it should be decent.
Thanks, Simon. I wouldn't miss it for the world. I saw him in concert about 10 years ago. Great!
What a coincidence! I was just outside reading a 6 page article about this same subject to my husband as he is working underneath our car this Sunday night putting in a new gas tank. (Gave up on our bio-diesel idea for awhile)
I would love to hear Mr. Dylan in concert! About a week ago I happen to hear him on the radio and he really WOWWWWWWED me!! Gave me thrills and chills he was so authoritative!
What a singer and songwriter! We are certainly a privileged generation to have so much music available to us!!!
Anyone seen it yet??
The ABC program after the news showed some snippets - looks AWESOME!! The Judas scene from Manchester on FILM!! And I swear I didn't see Bob's lips move when the famous words were uttered "Play ...ing loud!", my guess it was Robertson who said it. It wasn't Rick, he is clearly visible in the footage.
GRREAT!!!!

I hope he gives you a good show, Simon. Dylan shows are notorious for being either really good or not so good. It all depends on his mood that night. If he's in a good mood, great show. Bad mood, he just goes through the motions. I saw him twice a couple of years ago. First time was dull and unimaginative. He seemed bored. The second show, later in the tour, was excellent. One of the best shows I had seen in years.
I bought the "Bootleg Series" soundtrack to the Scorcese flick. It's got some great previously unreleased stuff from early in his career, including some home recordings. I highly recommend it.

He's coming to Manchester in a few weeks and we have tickets
