I ended up calling the toll-free number 1-888-2-DONATE and found that I can donate blood. The time limit after a piercing or tattoo is 6 months. Woo hoo! I pass!

I'll probably go every 2 months or so. Not only will it help others, but I will rid myself of my excess red blood cells and iron.

Just reading the post gets me queezy.
So far I have only stayed awake once when I had to have blood drawn. I ate beef and broccoli with some OJ. Then when I went in I asked to go into the kiddie room where I could lay down.
I'm a big baby.
I'm having jaw surgery next summer and they said I'll have to give a few pints "just in case" before the surgery.
I donated for the first time yesterday. They let me donate it in the name of one of my friends as replacement blood. She is 25 and is undergoing treatments for breast cancer and leukemia. It didn't hurt. The staff was very professional and were on our church campus in a big conversion Motorhome. I even got a TEE shirt to wear at the next JW circuit assembly.
It says:

Is it unholy? Yes, it is for the JW cult to deny its followers a life-saving organ with their unscriptural stand against receiving blood in its entirety. Dumbasses will let the dubs have all the components except the membrane. But... not all wrapped up in one sandwich.
Thank you very much for giving blood. If there had not been blood available in 1980 when I was shot, I wouldn't be alive today. Although, I suspect that some present day JW'S would rather had me just pass away into the great unknown for then I wouldn't have become such a 'pain in the arse' to them. Life does go on . . .in one way or another !

I just came back from giving blood. Didn't hurt at all. Don't even feel weak, not even thirsty.
What day are we today? I'm a little confused..... Just kidding
I gave blood for a 2nd time today.
Am I doomed?
