Is there anthropological evidence proving the Nephilim's existence?

  If the Nephilim died at the flood, did they have a "spiritual" existence? If this was plasuible, could it be that they "miss their physical bodies" and that is why they seek to possess people to have their old life back?

  When I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I was indeed fascinated by the subject of the Nephilim. I asked many questions but few were answered; however, I was told by the Witnesses that when the flood wiped out humanity, the Nephilim abandoned their fleshly bodies which were destroyed at the flood and they resumed to their spirit existence in the heavans. And yes, because they miss their earthly existence they possess people in an attempt to relive the experience because their powers of materializing as humans was taken away by Jehovah. (their powers having been taken away, was referred to as being in Tartarus, a debased condition).

  I always wondered how this entire phenomenum could occur since humans and spirits were two different species; could it be something like Christ's existence since he was the product of a spirit (Jehovah) and Mary (human)?

  By now I have become thoroughly confused.

  you may be mixing it up there. The Nephilim were the offspring of angels and humans, I was taught that they all drowned in the flood. However the angels in human form de-materialised and went back to heaven. But not their kids, the Nephilim, they all drowned.

  In the Paleolithic, there were "egalitarian" societies. There were not enough resources around for any one authority figure to begin hoarding them. Since society subsisted with such small margins for error, no one could hoard things to the extent of endangering another's survival without endangering his very own. I.E. "egalitarian" societies. In the Neolithic, society's subsistence had gained a larger margin for error and there were now a greater range and backup of resources. Now society could afford it if any one individual began to hoard resource, because his personal/family survival was not threatened because most had some form of basic subsistence. However, those fit to hoard were those naturally bigger, stronger, and sometimes combined with shrewder. "Egalitarian" gave way to "big-man" societies. He was not exactly a chief or king, whose temporal power begins to require a greater proportion of shrewdness - this is a primitive stage of authority which is only slightly removed from "egalitarian" subsistence. Giants that appear in mythology, Greek, Hebrew, Norse, etc, might be remembering a pre-chieftain sort of hoarder whose power was based more proportionately on physical girthiness than on shrewdliness.   Of course not, haven't you been reading the Watchtowers?

  We all know of Satan's "machinations" (crafty acts, footnote). Satan undoubtedly caused all the brontosurus, sabre-toothed tiger etc. bones to fossilize just a few years after the flood, but evidently used antimatter to dissolve all the nephilim's bones before they could quick-fossilize.

  Thus, the fossil record is apparently just another of his machinations (crafty acts, footnote) to confuse ones without real faith.
