    I've never read it...do I need to?

Damn...I knew I should have sold that 10 foot pole when I had the chance....now I'm an apostate.

u/d(of the is a 10 pole "phobic" class)

If my father's attitude is any pointer...full-blown JWs don't even want to touch it, even less read it. I think it works best for those who have already doubts...thus I am trying hard to plant the doubts and am leaving the book lying around.

I was inactive for almost 7 years before I got the book and read it. I'm glad I did and like so many other people who have read it I can honestly say I don't see the organization as I once did after having read the book.

While I was active, attending meetings, going out in service and associating regularly with other JWs and family members who are JWs, etc. I wouldn't have touched the book with a 10 foot pole like Gary said nor would I ever consider going to a board like this.

I was already on my way out.

The book just confirmed, and brought to the surface, what I think I already knew.

I've been either "inactive" or completly out for almost 30 years. I have yet to read CoC. For that matter, any of the writings of Ray Franz or others. One day soon I'll get ahold of a copy.

I was aghast to learn that Franz was DF'd! Shocked! This was about 12 years ago.

Since JW's today are so conditioned to avoid (at all costs?) contact with apostate material, it doubt an active dub even with a few doubts, would touch that or any other book. However, the more doubs, the more probable the exploration.

    Hugs

    B
