Do you think that we failed in ourselves because we did not or could not stop this person from continuing their search for God in the JW society ? I feel bad for this person because they are being fooled and you could see it in their words posted. I am very sad for this person,

I've found that very often it takes people twice to really "get" it. Lots of times the first time you leave for whatever reason, you have that guilt, that "what if" line of thought. Every time a balloon pops you look around you to see if Armeggedon has started. I was one of those. I went back when my son was a little over a year old. It always bothered me that I couldn't get back the innocent belief that I had in my youth. I really prayed hard that I would get that back. In all it took me until he was about 9 to finally have the scales drop off my eyes. But that time I really saw the evil in the organization and it was over for good.
So we can only hope that this will be the case for this lady. Perhaps she really needs to see first hand what the truth is about the truth, about the love in their congregations and about the failed and changed prophesy. No doubt right now she is being love bombed. You all know what that was like, it puts you in that euphoric state. You really don't want someone popping your bubble. Its like drugs.
We all found our way clear. There is hope for others even if it does take them twice to understand.

AA,
classic indoctrination. the only way she can deal with your information cognitively, is to label it from satan. how simple it is to be a JW!
kid-A,
In any other context, such a statement would be clinical evidence of a DSM-V diagnostic criteria for paranoid schizophrenia and a written prescription for haloperidol.
However, given that this is a message from the "alternate universe" of jehovah-land, its just another day on the farm!!! LOL
LMAO!! i have the DSM as well, and i am sure we could find something in there for most religious people. he he he...

I know alot about JW's as well ... my Father was a presiding overseer for many years, my Mother a pioneer, a travelling pioneer, as well. I was raised in the truth, but went elsewhere later on in life, but alas, am yet back with the truth in my heart.
I think this says it all. This person was raised in "the Troof", probably left to sow some wild oats, became disillusioned with how wicked the world was (being raised as a Dub, you are not given any weapons whatsoever on dealing with reality; hence, many find it virtually impossible to live outside the Organization), and has decided to return to his/her roots. The relationship with their parents was probably strained to the max while they were in the world, and who doesn't want to have a close relationship with their family? The parents and siblings if they've got any, will cry tears of joy now that the Prodigal Son/Daughter has returned to the flock.
Like many who leave the Borg and then return in later years, many of them go overboard and become fanatical in their devotion, as though to try and make up for all the sins they committed while in the world.
